How do I complete a transaction using Gumtree?

Gumtree should only be used to complete face to face local transactions. If you are buying or selling a product, the transaction should take place in person at a location decided upon by both parties.

Cash should be exchanged only after the item has been inspected.  Conducting transactions in person help you avoid shipping charges, exchange rates, and most importantly, minimises the risk of scams.
